WNBA Celebrates National Girls and Women in Sports Day 2019

Wednesday marked National Girls and Women in Sports Day, and the WNBA, teams and players celebrated with a “recess” break to get active.
Check out how the celebration turned out on social media — where #WNBARecess launched — including coverage of Natasha Cloud, Teresa Weatherspoon, Taj McWilliams-Franklin, Ashley Battle and Bethany Donaphin’s surprise visit to a group of 4th and 5th graders in New York:

We celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day today by reminding others that it's not just about today.
It's about tomorrow.
It's about 5 years from now.
It's about 20 years from now.
And that all starts with today.
