Teri Schindler
As Vice President, WNBA Broadcasting and Senior Coordinating Producer, Teri Schindler oversees WNBA broadcasting and production, world feeds of the NBA All-Star and Finals and various other NBA programming and interactive initiatives.
Schindler joined NBA Entertainment in April 1997 as Director, Broadcasting and was promoted to her current position in September 1999. With NBA Entertainment, she produced a documentary on the 1996 women's Olympic Basketball Team for Lifetime. She previously worked as a freelance producer at CBS, ESPN and HBO Sports.
Although she covered several sports, Schindler primarily produced men's and women's college basketball and NCAA Tournament coverage. She also served as Executive Producer of one of the largest regional women's basketball packages in the country for Connecticut Public Television.
In the 80's Schindler established the Big East Football television package and managaed the Big East Television Network, which produced more than 75 basketball and football telecasts each year. She also worked as producer for Milwaukee Bucks telecasts for WVTV.
She won an Emmy Award (New England region) in 1993 for football coverage and received eight Emmy nominations (New England region) for basketball, football and various features. Having been published in various papers, including the Boston Globe, Schindler also made her mark as a freelance writer, specializing in women's and environmental issues.
A Phi Beta Kappa/summa cum laude graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Schindler made All-America honors on the swim team and was awarded the Rotary Scholarship to study language and film in France after graduating in 1983.
Her career in sports broadcasting began at the 1984 Summer Olympic Games, where she worked as a news/sports desk runner.
Her husband, Mike Gorman, is the play-by-play broadcaster for the Boston Celtics.
