Countdown to 2016: 2 (Tamika Catchings, No. 2 All-Time in Scoring and Rebounding)

The 2016 season will mark the official farewell tour for retiring great Tamika Catchings, but her second-to-last season wasn’t a bad farewell itself.
The 36-year-old, 13th-year Indiana Fever forward led her team in scoring, recorded her record 1,000th career steal (and more), played in her record 10th and final All-Star Game, qualified for her record 11th consecutive postseason and won her third Eastern Conference title.
She also ended the season No. 2 on two monumental lists in league history: No. 2 in career points (6.947, behind only Tina Thompson) and No. 2 in career rebounds (3,153, behind only Lisa Leslie).
Add it all up, and in 2015 Catchings further cemented her status as one of the greatest women’s basketball players ever to play.
